Mining

As required by Resource Consent conditions and also Crown Minerals, performance bonds are required for all mining operations. This is to ensure compliance with the Resource Consent. Bonds take two forms; either Cash or Surety. See the forms labelled relevantly.

All mining licences and mining permits require a Work Program. Mining Licences are issued under the Mining Act while Mining Permits are issued under the Crown Minerals Act. There are separate work program requirements for coal mining, quarries and gold mining. See forms below.

Resource Consents

What is a Resource Consent...

A resource consent allows a person or organisation to do something which has an effect on the environment (e.g. taking water from a stream or bore, discharging waste into the air, onto land or into water, diverting streams or building bridges or culverts)
