The West Coast Regional Council enforces a Regional Pest Plant Management Strategy, describing how to control certain plants within the confines of our region

Provides a strategic and statutory framework for efficient and effective management of pest plants.

 

Land Occupier Information Sheet

The strategy identifies pest plants in the region and requires land occupiers to control those plants on their land in accordance with the new rules

 

Boundary Control

Plants that must be destroyed up to a set distance from a nieghboring boundary

 

Progressive Control

Pest plants that you should be aware of but will only need to control under set conditions

 

Total Control

The land occupier is required to destroy all plants under this category
