Who are Vector Control Services?
Vector Control Services (VCS) is the West Coast Regional Council business unit.
It was established to undertake Tb vector control (possum control) contracts within the Animal Health Board's Bovine Tb control programs on the West Coast.
Our Resources
Our staff are our greatest resource with locally employed people who live in our communities many of whom have been with VCS for many years.
These people have built up a wealth of local knowledge and are well known to the rural sector of the West Coast.
VCS has full access to GIS and mapping services
VCS maintains a fleet of 4wd vehicles and quad bikes.
What is the VCS goal?
To ensure that we provide a quality pest control and environmental protection service to our customers on the West Coast and that we continue to employ local people who have a stake in their community's environmental health and well-being.
