Regional Land Transport Strategy

A  safe, efficient, and sustainable land transport system.

The Regional Land Transport Strategy has been prepared by the West Coast Regional Land Transport Committee, which is a committee of the West Coast Regional Council, in accordance with the requirements of the Land Transport Act 1998 and Land Transport Management Act 2003.

The Regional Land Transport Committee is made up of the four local authorities, transport infrastructure providers, and other interested transport parties.

The purpose of this strategy is to promote a safe, efficient, and sustainable land transport system.

This Strategy was adopted and made operative at a meeting of the West Coast Regional Council on 14 February 2006.
