Review of Representation Arrangements for the 2019 Local Elections

​​​​On 13 March 2018 the West Coast Regional Council reviewed its representation arrangements and resolved that the following proposal apply for the Council for the elections to be held during October 2019.

The proposed number of elected members will remain unchanged from the last review carried out in 2011.​

Communities of Interest

The communities of interest identified are the identification with the existing Buller District Council, Grey District Council and Westland District Council areas.​

The population that each member will represent is as follows;

Persons with an interest in the proposed representation arrangements are invited to make written submissions to the Council's representation proposal.
