WCRC 2021-2031 Draft Long Term Plan
West Coast Regional Council 2021-2031 Draft Long Term Plan
Every three years, Council prepares a Long Term Plan for our region setting out the projects, priorities, and work programme we plan to deliver over a ten-year period, as well as how we propose this work will be funded.
When will the Consultation Document on the Long Term Plan be available?
Council is currently developing its 2021-2031 Long Term Plan (LTP). A consultation document, summarising the big changes, as well as those matters we are seeking feedback on, will be sent to every ratepayer in the region. This will give you a chance to have your say.
We intend for the Consultation Document to be approved for consultation at a Council meeting shortly with notification of the document to occur later that week. We will let you know when it is notified through our local newspaper, our Facebook page and here on our website. A hard copy of the document will be in your letterboxes the following week.
Preparation of the West Coast Regional Council’s Long-Term Plan 2021 – 2031 is tracking similarly to the Long-Term Plan that was adopted in September 2018. Council will not meet the 30 June 2021 statutory deadline for adoption, but are working hard to get the best information out to the community to provide feedback on very soon.
Your feedback shapes the direction we take over the next ten-year period. There are changes happening that we need to address as a Council and as a region, so it is important you take the time to find out what these are. We also want your feedback.
How can I get a copy of the consultation document?
A copy of the LTP Consultation Document will be sent to every ratepayer in the region and will also be available at public libraries in Greymouth, Runanga, Hokitika, Westport and Reefton.
