Draft West Coast Regional Land Transport Plan 2024-2034
The Land Transport Management Act requires that an interim review of a regional land transport plan (RLTP) is done every three years from when a plan is adopted. The current West Coast RLTP was adopted in 2021, and the interim three-year review commenced in 2023. The Draft RLTP 2024 sets the strategic direction for land transport in the region over the next 10 years. The transport programmes of the West Coast local authorities, Department of Conservation and Waka Kotahi/NZ Transport Agency are included in the Plan to be funded from the National Land Transport Fund (NLTF).
The Draft RLTP 2024 will be publicly notified for submissions on 28 February 2024. Copies are available for viewing at the West Coast Regional Council office, the Westport, Reefton, Greymouth and Hokitika libraries, and on the West Coast Regional Council’s website at the link below.
Any person may make a submission on the Draft RLTP 2024, in the prescribed form. Submissions must be received by the West Coast Regional Council no later than 5.00pm on 28 March 2024. Submissions may be delivered directly to the West Coast Regional Council office, posted to PO Box 66 Greymouth 7840, or emailed to the following link: info@wcrc.govt.nz
